1. Introduction

Welcome to ScribblEssence, a platform dedicated to poetry competitions, creative writing and community participation. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, accounts, contest entry services and community features.

By accessing or using ScribblEssence, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any additional rules provided for a contest in which you participate. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

2. Eligibility and User Accounts

ScribblEssence is intended for users aged 13 and above, subject to applicable law and the eligibility rules of individual contests. Additional parental or guardian consent may be required under applicable law.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure and maintaining control over your account.

• Provide accurate information when registering.
• Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Do not share your password or allow unauthorized access to your account.
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• Do not create accounts or submit entries in violation of contest rules.

3. Poetry Contests and Participation

ScribblEssence may organize poetry competitions with specific themes, entry packages, submission requirements, deadlines, eligibility criteria and prizes. Each contest may have additional rules displayed on its contest page.

By entering a contest, you agree to:

• Follow the theme, format, eligibility requirements and deadline.
• Submit work that you are entitled to submit.
• Provide accurate entrant details and required information.
• Pay any applicable entry fee through the available payment process.
• Cooperate with reasonable requests to verify eligibility or submission details.

An entry may not be considered complete until the required submission information and payment confirmation have been received. Submission does not guarantee selection as a finalist or winner.

4. Entry Fees, Payments and No Refund Policy

Certain poetry contests require an entry fee. Applicable fees and package options will be displayed during the entry process. Participants are responsible for reviewing the contest details before making payment.

Payments may be processed through Razorpay or another payment provider identified at checkout. Transactions are subject to the applicable provider terms and policies.

No Refund Policy: All poetry contest entry fees are non-refundable once payment has been submitted. Refunds are not provided merely because a participant changes their mind, withdraws from a contest, submits an incomplete entry or is disqualified for violating contest rules.

Participants are responsible for checking contest details, eligibility requirements, submission guidelines and entry package selections before completing payment.

If a payment is deducted but the entry is not confirmed, or if a duplicate payment is made, contact us at contest@scribblessence.com with the relevant transaction reference so that the issue can be investigated.

Nothing in this policy excludes any refund, remedy or consumer right required by applicable law.

5. Originality, Plagiarism and Prohibited Submissions

You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your work. Unless a contest expressly states otherwise, submissions must comply with its originality requirements.

You must not:

• Copy another person's poem or submit another person's work as your own.
• Submit work without the permission required from its rights holder.
• Misrepresent authorship or provide false submission information.
• Submit content that unlawfully infringes copyright or other rights.
• Manipulate judging, rankings or contest systems.
• Use fraudulent accounts or prohibited methods to gain an unfair advantage.

Where a credible concern about plagiarism, eligibility or misconduct arises, ScribblEssence may review the entry and request relevant information. Entries may be disqualified where justified by the applicable rules and available evidence.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of original poems and other creative work you submit, subject to any separate written terms expressly agreed to by you.

By submitting a poem to a contest, you grant ScribblEssence permission to receive, store, review and process the work as reasonably necessary to administer the contest, conduct judging, communicate results and carry out activities expressly described in the relevant contest rules.

This permission does not, by itself, transfer ownership of your copyright or authorize unrelated commercial use of your work. Additional publication, promotional use or licensing will be subject to the relevant contest terms and permissions.

You must not copy, republish or commercially use another user's creative work without the required permission or other lawful basis.

7. Judging, Results and Prizes

Contest entries will be evaluated according to the criteria and process stated for the relevant competition. Results, rankings and prizes will be announced through the website or another specified communication channel.

• Judging criteria may differ between contests.
• Participants must satisfy the contest's eligibility and submission requirements.
• Plagiarism, false information or material rule violations may result in disqualification.
• Prize details and distribution arrangements will be specified in the applicable contest information.
• Winners may be asked for reasonable information needed to verify eligibility and arrange prize delivery.

Genuine concerns about results will be addressed in accordance with the applicable contest rules.

8. Community Guidelines
